BRAD DEMBS, JD

ATTORNEY & COUNSELOR AT LAW

Brad's passion for championing the rights of individuals started in his teens as a camp counselor serving children with disabilities and has carried him all the way to the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals – the second highest court in the United States behind the Supreme Court – where his oral argument ultimately helped Michigan families and students in need.

The word “counsel,” while synonymous with “attorney,” also embodies the heart of Brad's superpower: connecting with families on a personal level and advising them through challenging situations with empathy and expertise.

Brad brings his commitment to equity plus experience from both non-profit and for-profit sectors to the firm. He received his Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University, his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan and is a two-time recipient of Wayne State Public Interest Law Fellowship. A disability rights advocate, Brad focuses on the challenges families are facing today and creates plans for the future that are filled with possibilities.

In his free time, Brad deepens his connection with family, nature, and art. He grows crops in his garden, kayaks in places like Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and Italy's Amalfi Coast, and enjoys gallery hopping, architecture tours, and taking long walks outdoors with his wife, baby girl and Australian Cattle Dog. Brad is ready to talk basketball at any time.
